This policy explains what Renegade Sound Labs collects when you use renegadesoundlabs.com, why we collect it, who else can see it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It describes the site as it actually works rather than as a general statement of intent.

We collect your name, email address and billing address, and we keep a record of what you bought and when. We need this to take the order, deliver the download, activate the plugins you bought and keep proper business records.
We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and does not touch our server.
We store your email address, your name if you give one, and a hashed version of your password. An account is how you reach your downloads and licenses.
Stripe holds your subscription and the card you pay with. We keep a record of your plan, its status and renewal dates, any plugins you have chosen to keep, and when each free trial on your account started and ended, so that every trial is used once per account.
RSL Hub signs in through your browser, so it never sees your password. For each computer you activate we store the computer’s name, whether it runs macOS or Windows, a random identifier for it (kept only in hashed form), when it was activated and last checked in, and the IP address it last checked in from. For each RSL Hub sign-in we store the app version and a hashed copy of its sign-in tokens. We use this to keep you within the limit of 4 computers, to show you your activated computers so you can remove one, and to spot an account being shared or misused.
We record which file was downloaded, by which account and email address, with the IP address and browser it came from. This helps us answer support questions and spot abuse of download links.
Keys bought before 4 October 2026 were issued and are still managed through keylight.dev. Your email address was shared with that service so a key could be tied to you and activated on up to three devices. New orders no longer get a key.
We store your email address, which page you signed up from, the date, and the IP address the signup came from. The IP address is kept as a spam and abuse control, not to profile you.
We receive your name, email address and message, and keep them so we can reply and refer back to the conversation.
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and products people use. This sets cookies and records things like pages viewed, the product you looked at, whether you played an audio demo, and whether you started checkout.
We have deliberately kept personal data out of these events: no email addresses, names, payment details or form contents are ever sent to Google by us. Analytics is switched off entirely for signed-in users.
Our store platform also records cart activity so we can understand where people drop out.
If you also accept marketing cookies, the Meta pixel tells Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram) about page views, the products you looked at, starting checkout and purchases, so we can see which of our adverts work. For a purchase, it can also send a hashed (scrambled) copy of your email address, name and phone number, which Meta uses to match the purchase to an advert without receiving those details in readable form. It also lets us show our adverts on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited this site. None of this is sent unless you choose Accept all.
Videos on the Learn page load from YouTube only when you press play.
Our host and caching layer keep standard server logs, which include IP addresses and browser information. These are used for security and to keep the site running.
Three kinds of cookie are set on this site, and two of them are optional. Every cookie we set is listed by name, purpose and lifetime on the cookies page. That page is kept as the single record, so it and this policy cannot drift apart.
In short: cart, login, checkout and fraud-prevention cookies are always on because the shop cannot work without them. Analytics cookies are optional and are never written unless you accept them. Marketing cookies, from the Meta pixel, are a separate choice and are only written if you choose Accept all.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from Your privacy choices in the footer of any page. Declining does more than stop the next write: the cookies already on your device for whatever you switch off are deleted at the same time.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with the services that make the shop work, and with Meta for advertising if you accept marketing cookies:
We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
We are based in the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where data is transferred out of the UK or the European Economic Area, that transfer relies on the safeguards our providers have in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
Wherever you live, you can email us to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will not make you pay for it and we will not treat you differently for asking.
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (orders, subscriptions, downloads, licenses and activation), your consent (newsletter, analytics cookies and marketing cookies), and our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and stopping accounts being shared).
Some states give residents specific rights over their personal information. Rather than work out which apply to you, we offer the same thing to everyone: email us and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it.
We do not sell personal information for money. If you accept marketing cookies, the Meta pixel shares your activity on this site with Meta so we can measure and show our adverts, which some state laws, including California’s, treat as “sharing” or targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time: open Your privacy choices in the footer and choose Reject or Analytics only. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out, and then the Meta pixel is never loaded.
If you would rather we did not run analytics cookies on your visits, say so and we will switch them off for you.
This site is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
