Terms of Service

These terms cover buying, subscribing to and using software from Renegade Sound Labs. By placing an order, starting a subscription or trial, or installing one of our plugins, you agree to them.

Who we are

Renegade Sound Labs is a trading name of Riviere Group LLC, a Florida limited liability company.

What you are buying

You are buying a license to use the software, not the software itself. We keep ownership of it. You can get a license in two ways: by buying a plugin outright (or, before 4 October 2026, a bundle), which gives you a perpetual license, or by subscribing to RSL All Access, which gives you a license for as long as your subscription is active.

What your license allows

• Install and use the plugin on up to four computers that you own or control.
• Use it on your own work, including commercial work. Records you make with it are yours, and we claim nothing in them.

What it does not allow

• Sharing, reselling, renting or sublicensing the software, your account or your license key.
• Letting anyone else sign in to RSL Hub with your account, publishing your license key, or using an account or key that was not issued to you.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembling the software, or getting around its activation, except where the law says you may.

If an account or license key is shared, or used beyond its computer limit, we may deactivate it.

Activation and RSL Hub

RSL Hub is our free installer and license app for macOS and Windows. You sign in to it with your Renegade Sound Labs account, and it installs and activates the plugins your account owns or your subscription includes. There are no license keys to copy.

• An account can have our plugins activated on up to four computers at a time. To move to a new computer, deactivate an old one in RSL Hub first, or email us if you no longer have access to it.
• Activation needs an internet connection. Once a computer is activated, RSL Hub renews the activation in the background, so the computer needs to go online from time to time.
• RSL Master, RSL Bastion, RSL Crucible, RSL Paradox and RSL Channel are activated through RSL Hub only.

RSL Dual Core Saturator license keys

If you bought the RSL Dual Core Saturator before 4 October 2026, you received a license key, and you can keep using it. From version 1.9.2 you can also activate it through RSL Hub instead. From 4 October 2026 we no longer issue license keys for new orders, and the Dual Core Saturator is activated through RSL Hub only.

Trials and pre-release builds

Where we offer a free trial, it runs for the period stated on the product page, after which the plugin stops working until you buy it or subscribe. Each trial is available once per account.

From time to time we may offer a build labeled as beta or pre-release. Such a build is a working plugin that is still in active development: it may contain bugs, and features and behavior may change between versions. By installing one you accept it on that basis. Keep backups of any session that matters.

System requirements

Our plugins run on macOS 11 or newer, natively on Intel and Apple Silicon, and on Windows 10 64-bit or newer. On macOS they come in Audio Unit and VST3 formats, and on Windows in VST3, with a Standalone version where the product page says so. AAX, for Pro Tools, is included on macOS with every paid plugin and with the free RSL One. AAX is not available on Windows, or for the free RSL Foresight, and there are no native Windows-on-ARM builds. RSL Hub is needed to install and activate our plugins. The requirements on each product page are part of these terms, so please check them before buying or subscribing.

Orders, prices and payment

• Prices are in US dollars and shown on the product page.
• Promotional prices apply until the end date stated on the site. Our Founders’ prices for RSL Master, RSL Bastion, RSL Crucible, RSL Paradox and RSL Channel run until 1 December 2026.
• Payment is taken by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
• Your order is accepted when we confirm it by email and the plugin appears in your account, not when you submit the form.
• We no longer sell bundles. If you bought a bundle before 4 October 2026, every plugin in it stays in your account.
• We may cancel an order and refund it in full if a price or product description was clearly wrong.

Delivery

Everything is delivered digitally. After payment, the plugins you bought are added to your account straight away, and you install and activate them through RSL Hub. We also email you a confirmation. If anything is missing from your account, email us and we will sort it out.

RSL All Access subscription

This section applies if you subscribe to RSL All Access.

• What you get. While your subscription is active, you can install and use every Renegade Sound Labs plugin, including new plugins we add to All Access, through RSL Hub on up to four computers, together with every update we release for them.
• Price and billing. All Access costs $18 a month or $180 a year, as shown when you subscribe. Payment is taken by Stripe at the start of each billing period.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and Stripe charges the card on file at the price in force then, until you cancel. If we change the price, we will email you before the change applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you wish.
• Canceling. You can cancel at any time from your account, which takes you to the Stripe customer portal, or by emailing us. Canceling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it then ends.
• Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we will let you know and keep your access going for a 7-day grace period while you update your card. If the payment still has not gone through by the end of the grace period, the subscription ends and access stops.
• Free trial. New subscribers can try All Access free for 14 days, without giving a card. The trial is available once per account. When it ends, access stops unless you choose to subscribe; we never charge you automatically at the end of a trial.
• When access ends. When your subscription or trial ends, plugins you have only through All Access stop activating on your computers. Your projects, presets and audio files stay yours, but sessions that use those plugins will not load them until you subscribe again or buy them.
• Plugins you own stay yours. Any plugin you have bought outright, on its own or in a bundle bought before 4 October 2026, before, during or after a subscription, remains yours under its perpetual license whatever happens to your subscription.
• Refunds. A yearly membership can be refunded in full within 30 days of the yearly charge, including each yearly renewal. After those 30 days there is no refund for the rest of that year, but canceling stops the next renewal. Other subscription refunds are covered by our Refunds policy.

Free software and accounts

RSL One and RSL Foresight are free. A free account is needed to download them. Free products are provided as they are, and we may change or withdraw them.

Updates and availability

We may release updates, and may change or discontinue a product. We try to keep the site, RSL Hub and the license service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service.

Every plugin you buy outright comes with a perpetual license. Buying a plugin entitles you to keep using that plugin for as long as you want it, and to every future update of it at no further cost. A plugin you buy outright never needs a subscription and has nothing to renew. If we ever discontinue a product, the license you already hold and the versions you have already downloaded keep working.

An update means a new version of a plugin you own. A different plugin is a different product and a separate purchase, unless it is included in an RSL All Access subscription you hold.

Your account

Your account is for one person. Keep your password and any license keys to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think it has been used without your permission.

Liability

The software is provided without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost work, lost profit, lost data, or indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed what you paid for the product it relates to or, for an RSL All Access subscription, what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them will be brought in the state or federal courts sitting in Broward County, Florida, and you and we each agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim there where the law gives you one.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here when you place your order. If you have an RSL All Access subscription, we will email you about any material change before it applies to your next renewal.
