Refunds

Last updated 9 October 2026

Everything we sell is a digital download, added to your account the moment you pay. That changes how refunds work, so this page sets out plainly what you can expect.

The short version

If you buy a plugin, you have 14 days from purchase to ask for a refund, and we will not ask you why.

Support changes that in your favor, not ours. If we are actively helping you install or set up a plugin, the 14 days do not run out while we are working on it. In return, we will ask to finish what we started before processing the refund. If we still cannot get it running on a supported system, you get your money back.

RSL All Access is a subscription and works differently: you can cancel at any time, the free trial costs nothing, and a yearly membership can be refunded in full within 30 days of each yearly charge. See RSL All Access below.

RSL Complete

RSL Complete is every current RSL plugin in one purchase, owned outright. Within 14 days of purchase you can refund it for any reason. It is priced as a set, so we refund it as a whole rather than plugin by plugin, and the plugins it added leave your account. The support promise above applies here too.

A bundle bought before 4 October 2026

We no longer sell the RSL Mastering Bundle. If you bought the RSL Mastering Bundle or the bundle upgrade before 4 October 2026, every plugin in it stays in your account.

Within 14 days of purchase you can refund a whole bundle or upgrade, for any reason. Bundles were priced as a set, so we refund them as a whole rather than plugin by plugin.

RSL All Access

If you subscribe to RSL All Access:

• The free trial costs nothing. New subscribers get 14 days free, once per account, without giving a card. When the trial ends, access simply stops unless you choose to subscribe. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund.
• You can cancel at any time from your account (through the Stripe customer portal) or by emailing us. Canceling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the month or year you have already paid for.
• Yearly membership: 30 days to change your mind. A yearly All Access membership can be refunded in full within 30 days of the yearly charge, and the same applies to each yearly renewal. After those 30 days we do not refund the rest of that year, but canceling stops the next renewal.
• Monthly membership: no refunds for part-used months. Monthly payments are not refunded for the time left in a month after you cancel, except where the law requires it.
• Billing mistakes are always put right. If you were charged twice, charged after you canceled, or charged the wrong amount, email us and we will refund the difference.
• Failed payments. If a renewal fails, you have a 7-day grace period to update your card before access stops.
• Plugins you bought stay yours. Canceling or losing All Access never affects a plugin you bought outright, and refunding a plugin you bought never affects your subscription.

Before you buy

Because your plugins are available to install straight away, please check two things first:

• Your system. Our plugins run on macOS 11 or newer (Intel or Apple Silicon, in Audio Unit and VST3, plus AAX in every paid plugin and in RSL One) and on Windows 10 64-bit or newer (VST3), with a Standalone version where the product page says so. AAX is not available on Windows, or in RSL Foresight, so Pro Tools will not load those. You will also need RSL Hub, our free installer, to install and activate them.
• The free options. RSL One runs the same Warm and Tube circuit as the Dual Core Saturator on a single core and costs nothing, and every paid plugin has a free 14-day trial, as does RSL All Access. They are the cheapest way to find out whether our sound suits your ears before you pay.

If something is wrong

If the plugin will not install, will not activate, or does not do what the product page says it does, that is on us. Email hello@renegadesoundlabs.com and tell us your order number, your operating system and version, and your DAW. We will try to fix it first, and if we cannot, we will refund you.

If a plugin is missing from your account

Sign in to RSL Hub, or to your account on our site, with the email address you ordered with. If you bought the Dual Core Saturator with a license key, check your spam folder and your account downloads page too. If something is genuinely missing, email us and we will put it right. A missing plugin or key is never a reason to lose your money.

How to ask for a refund

Email hello@renegadesoundlabs.com with the email address you ordered with and your order number. You do not need a special form.

Approved refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. Your bank usually takes a few working days to show it.

What happens after a refund

When we refund a purchase, the license for it ends. The plugin is removed from your account, and RSL Hub deactivates it on your computers the next time it checks in. If the purchase came with a Dual Core Saturator license key, that key is deactivated. If you refund a bundle bought before 4 October 2026, this applies to every plugin in it, except any you also own from a separate purchase or have through an active RSL All Access subscription.

Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page limits rights you have by law.

If you are a consumer in the UK or the European Union, you normally have 14 days to change your mind about a digital purchase or a new subscription. For a download, that right ends once the download starts, if you agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged losing the right at checkout. Where that has not happened, the 14 day right still applies.

If you are in the United States, your rights under applicable state and federal consumer law are unaffected by this policy.

Chargebacks

If something has gone wrong, please email us before contacting your bank. A chargeback freezes the order and usually takes far longer to resolve than a direct refund.

Free products

RSL One and RSL Foresight are free, so there is nothing to refund. If they will not run, email us anyway and we will help.
